September Visit

During September in the silent darkness of an early morning Sr Maria and Br Michael Palma and Sr. Sue Hyde drove to the airport to commence our visitation of legionaries in the beautiful cities of Adelaide and Perth.  The long distance travelled from Melbourne to Adelaide to Perth in one day was surprisingly easy and most enjoyable.  We wish to thank the Comitia in Adelaide and Perth and the Mater Christi Praesidium, Fremantle, for their warm welcome and hospitality and especially to Sr Joan Cahill in Adelaide and Srs Rosemary Bennett and Moya Bruce in Perth for looking after us.  The work being done in both States is substantial and both are faced with challenges we are all familiar with.  One of those challenges is just as Jesus said to his disciples "The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few … (Luke 10:1-2). We must all work harder to recruit new members.
